In 1969 he was the first to fly with a hand-glider in Europe and he was the first to discover a new way to perform water skiing. He removed his skis and glided barefoot. This all happened on and near Lake Como. Ever since he was a child, living in a small town of the Triangolo lariano area South of Lake Como, he stayed overlong on the boat that carried him from home to his school, enraptured and captivated by the sight of freely gliding gulls and buzzards. His mother will recall the time her son gave her a scare when he disappeared at the local playground. Alfio had crawled underneath a merry-go-round, curious to see what was there. He was more interested in finding out its mechanism and inner workings than he was of getting on the carousel for a spin.

He became familiar with Chiropractic when he injured his back while skiing. From that moment, this profession will become of the utmost importance for him.

His five years studying this field at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa will not be enough for him, and he will continue to chase knowledge in his private and professional life going forward.

With every day, his brilliant observations of the "Man Machine" will bring him closer to the bigger picture, never achieved before. After many years closely working with individuals of varying age groups and with famous athletes skilled in many Olympic sports, Si28 comes to life. To achieve this incredible and unique discovery, Alfio Caronti invested 34 years of his life researching and studying, pushed forward by the enthusiasm his results brought along. Research was difficult and complex, with demanding trials and hundreds of laboratory tests, but in the end the effort paid out.
